Quiet Tide — Original 36x48 Marsh Landscape Painting

A wide marsh at the soft hour — peach clouds gathered over the tidal creek, marsh-grass islands holding still, the whole horizon mirrored back in glassy water.

“Quiet Tide” is an original 36 x 48 acrylic marsh landscape on a 1.5” deep gallery-wrapped canvas — my largest piece to date, and the kind of painting designed to anchor a whole room. A tidal creek winds back through bands of spartina marsh grass to a soft tree line on the horizon, and a wide sunset sky in peach, cream, and pale blue spreads out overhead and reflects back in the still water below.

The brushwork is layered and textural in the clouds and grasses, and smooth and luminous across the water, so the piece reads beautifully from across the room and rewards a closer look. The horizontal orientation and generous scale make it especially well-suited to hang over a sofa, a long sideboard, a primary bed, or a dining-room buffet — anywhere a wall is asking for one quiet, generous statement.
