An afternoon walk down a moss-draped oak alley — painted in soft pastels, with the shadows pooling lavender across the path.
“Under the Oaks” is an original 30 x 24 acrylic landscape on a 1.5” deep gallery-wrapped canvas — my pastel take on one of the most iconic Lowcountry scenes: a long avenue of live oaks meeting overhead in a canopy of green, draped in Spanish moss, with dappled light and lavender-blue shadows running down the sandy path.
Where most oak-alley paintings lean into deep greens and browns, this one is painted in a softer, dreamier palette — pink-blushed bark, sage and chartreuse leaves, periwinkle and powder-blue shadows, and a quiet glow of warm light at the far end of the tunnel. The horizontal orientation gives the trees room to breathe and makes it especially well-suited to hang over a sofa, a long sideboard, a bed, or a dining-room buffet.
Because this is a one-of-a-kind original, only one is available. It is signed on the front, varnished for protection, and shipped fully insured with white-glove care.
